I have been chastised for not posting photos lately. So I will post photos for a picture says a thousand words and I'm plum outta words at the moment! (and if you believe that I have a bridge I need to sell!)

We decided that it was safe to take off the blue protective sheeting now that the contractors are OUTTA HERE and let the stainless shine through!

Here are samples of our back splash and granite. The tiny grey sample is our sink color. We are still in the process of getting our granite fitted and the tiles sent to us. The back splash we found at Lowes, unless a local business will match Lowes price and style.

Our great ceiling texturer put heavy duty tape on our wall paper in the dining room and then did not take it down. We waited for three days for him to come back and remove it and finally gave up and did it ourselves. The tape stuck to the wall paper and tore the holy crap out of it. We had to remove the damaged pieces and re hang some left over paper we had saved "just in case"! (this doesn't show the new rehung strips!)

Today I started staining the cabinet bases. I have been staining the door and drawer fronts, little by little on what ever space I could find inside since it has been so cold and miserable here. Today, it was warm and no wind. The news said that it has been over 200 days since we've had temperatures reach the 70's. I don't know if it did today, but I was able to open the doors to help with the varnish fumes. Tomorrow, they are saying more wind and rain and cold.
So the kitchen sink has been ordered, the kitchen faucet,( and Kara was able to save us over 60% on an AWESOME, way expensive one), is on the way and As I said, we are still waiting on our granite to come. Ever so slowly....Ever so slowly.Oh, fellow Barn Raisers! We bought an outdoor cook top that will manage our meals without a hitch and we ARE starting to configure every thing for our great adventure. BS, I have found an outdoor bathroom for all of your going pleasure and will see if I can beat the price on-line, but have no fear, there will be a potty! Will this be a year to remember, or what!!!!

What bridge are you selling Momma! Ha ha ha! Just kidding, you sure are a joker! I sure am curiouis to see what this outdoor toilet is you're looking to purchase. Why not just dig a hole and place an old porcelain one over it. You can probably find that driving down some of Pocatello's side streets! Throw up a sheet of plywood for some privacy. Anyways, the kitchen is looking amazing!!!
